CEG jumped 12.2 percent today, and this one has a real deal behind it. Constellation Energy signed two contracts with Alphabet — Google's parent — totaling roughly 3,590 megawatts of nuclear capacity over 20 years. That's not a rumor or a pilot program. Constellation is committing 4.3 billion dollars to upgrade 11 nuclear units across three states, specifically to power Google's AI data centers. The reason nuclear works for hyperscalers: it's what grid operators call baseload power — always-on, carbon-free, and unlike wind or solar, it doesn't stop running when the sun goes down or the wind dies. Peers VST and TLN caught a bid too. The question now is which hyperscaler signs the next nuclear deal — and who's left to sign it with.
