Adobe's $6.6B fiscal Q2 and Musk's $7.1B Tesla option exercise

Wednesday's lead is an earnings print. $ADBE reported fiscal Q2 2026 results, posting $6.6 billion in quarterly revenue — a 13% increase year over year. At that pace, Adobe is tracking roughly $26 billion in annualized revenue from a subscription-based stack spanning creative, document, and experience cloud products.

Adobe: 13% growth at scale

The 13% top-line expansion rate holds significance in context. Enterprise software peers have broadly compressed into mid-to-high single-digit growth as renewal cycles mature. Adobe sustaining that rate at $6.6 billion quarterly scale reflects durable pricing leverage and ongoing seat expansion within existing accounts. One number, no asterisk. The desk is holding forward guidance commentary until Adobe's full earnings call transcript is on the record; nothing beyond the revenue line is attributed here.

AMD: a mechanical disposal

$AMD filed a Form 4 disclosing a $1.6 million insider sale by a company executive. The transaction covers tax withholding on vested stock awards — a required share disposal under standard IRS rules at vest, not a discretionary decision to reduce exposure. At AMD's current market capitalization, $1.6 million carries no directional weight. Report it, do not read into it.

Filings desk

The day's largest disclosed transaction involves $TSLA. On June 16, CEO Elon Musk exercised stock options carrying a $23.34 strike price and simultaneously sold 17.5 million shares at $404.66 per share, generating $7.1 billion in gross proceeds. The options were deeply in the money at exercise. Exercise cost and sale proceeds roughly offset — the exercise cost marginally exceeded sale proceeds by approximately $6.5 million — leaving Musk's net share position approximately flat on a same-day, exercise-and-sell basis. This structure is consistent with a pre-set 10b5-1 trading plan. The desk will monitor subsequent Form 4 filings for any evidence of incremental share reduction beyond what the plan dictates.

What we set aside

Two filings were excluded for failing the 36-hour freshness gate — the underlying corporate events predated the disclosure window at the time of filing. Twenty-one tickers were examined and produced no substantive filings or price-moving news within the window, among them $AMZN, $COIN, $GOOG, and $JPM.

The desk is watching Adobe's earnings call for guidance on AI subscription tier adoption and any revision to fiscal 2026 annual revenue targets.
